perennial, H, 2n=24,48,78,120 (series of multiple polyploids in this subspecies where n=8; in the typical species seemingly there is a stable 2n=24 ?)

mesoxeric to mesic saxicole species specific for low altitude sites, from the forest-steppe up to the upper nemoral (subspecies)
